From 1941 to 1946, close to 1,000 Black pilots trained at Tuskegee, Alabama as the first Black military aviators in the U.S. Army Air Forces. Their fighter group painted their planes' tails red, which made them famous as the "Red Tails." This hoodie honors the men who flew.
